The World Is Kind

If you are looking for a collaboration of songs that blends electronics, acoustic & electric guitars, live drums, & strings with wonderful vocal contributions then you've got to look no further, I bring you guys a group which goes with the name 'Dive Index'.
Previously they released an album called 'Mid/Air' and I had a joyful time on listening to all of their tracks. Their songs are best described as melodically rich and sonically intriguing sound. It's noticeably apparent that they use blending of electronic and acoustic elements as their song's backdrop.
The main focus of their music is leading the listener on a series of personal and emotional journeys. Being lost in a foreign country (like me), the insecure political climate, the lonely life of a fisherman, channel surfing, and absorbing comfort in life and loss-- these are some of the melancholy themes touched upon throughout the album. And yet, Mid/Air still manages to retain some glimmers of hope.
For a sample of their music of course you can catch the deeply moving ethereal and thematic video 'The World is Kind' after the fold. You sure don't want to miss it out right?
'The World Is Kind' is a lovely little kaleidoscope of theme park rides, which serves to remind me that I need to get myself on some roller coasters very, very soon.
Track itself is slow and gelatinous on which a pretty melody and gorgeous strings wind gently around a high-pitched and panicky break beat. Pretentious? Yes, but it works and I enjoyed listening to it. Highly recommended!
